ABOUT ME
Rachel perdue
Hey Ya’ll! Thanks for stopping by! I’m Rachel Perdue and I am a writer, speaker, and founder of Walk Ignited Ministries. I’m a Wife, Mama, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. But most of all, I’m a sold-out Jesus girl and a wonder seeker of God’s word. I’m constantly awestruck by God’s relentless, faithful love for me, and I’m passionate about encouraging other women to relentlessly pursue the One True God who is relentlessly pursuing them! My greatest passion is being a fire starter and hope giver for God’s kingdom.
I wish I could invite you into my living room. If I could, we would grab something to drink, then sit down and talk about our life’s struggles, hot mess and all. We would laugh and then probably shed some tears. And after spending some time in God’s word and prayer together, we would part with our souls feeling uplifted, encouraged, and a little more settled than before. Even though we can’t meet in my living room, I invite you to meet me here on these pages. Kick-off your shoes, grab a cozy blanket, your favorite cup of coffee, tea, or drink of choice, and stay awhile as I share my faith and my struggles with raw vulnerability, humor, and candid honesty on the blog or at women’s events sharing the hope of Jesus.
ABOUT THE BLOG
Encouraging & Igniting
Our story with God opens up in the book of Genesis with “In the beginning.” Each day for six days, God creates everything from the atmosphere all the way to humanity. After each creation, He looked at it and said it was good. Not just good but very good! And then He rested on the seventh day. For each part of creation, God used only His words to bring creation into existence. Except for humanity. There is something very special and unique about humanity that sets us apart from everything else God created. We are the only part of creation that was made in the image of God. We were created in His likeness and received the very breath of God. Pretty awesome huh? God created Adam and Eve in the perfect garden of Eden and that is where it all began.
God would come down in the cool of the day, and fellowship with Adam and Eve. I often think of how amazing that must have been, just to walk and talk with Almighty God just like He’s your best friend. Well, it didn’t stay perfect forever. Sin entered the equation and fellowship was broken. God knew in order to restore the relationship with humanity, He would have to send His Son, Jesus, to redeem mankind. And that’s just what He did. So come along with me as I tell you about my best friend, Jesus. He’s gracious and merciful. He radically loves me and constantly pursues me like no other. And do you know what? It’s not just me that He loves. He loves you too and wants you to know Him more!
