Mama, Has Anyone Told You Lately?

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.” Romans 8:1 MEV

Hey Mama,

Has anyone told you lately that….

You are AMAZING and you are rocking this Mama thing!

Now, I know what you might be thinking, “Really?? If she only knew how I just erupted like a volcano at my kids – she wouldn’t be saying that!”

Oh, dear friend, if only you knew. If only you knew how many times I have erupted like a volcano at my kids and lost my temper.  And you know what always follows – shame and guilt. I always feel massively guilty and start thinking I am terrible and the worst Mama ever.

So, believe me when I tell you, I understand and I get you.

You want to know what else?

The enemy doesn’t want you to believe that you are amazing and rocking this Mama thing. We must remember that Satan is the deceiver and the father of all lies. The enemy will lie to you, telling you that you are nothing, that you are doing a terrible job, and that you just need to give up. He will whisper many more things to you to drown you in guilt and condemnation, and friend; you absolutely must not believe him. He is most definitely a liar. Do not let guilt rob you of the truth.

Our key verse from Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.” I love this verse. It is one of the verses I like to refer to as the “Heavy-weight, undefeated champion” verses because it throws a mean, hell-defeating punch. It reminds me that Jesus paid the price for it all – He paid the price for eternity, yes, but he also paid the price for the here and now on this side of eternity which means we don’t have to walk around in defeat and guilt.

We must reverse the curse the enemy tries to trap us in and refuse to continue to live under guilt and condemnation. The enemy could care less about you and me. He wants to keep us from living from a place of victory and keep us drowning in defeat. But, not today Satan! Not today!

Today, we are claiming our victory as a blood-bought daughter of the Almighty King. Friend, it is essential for us to take our place and not give the enemy another second of victory over us.

Let’s do this together.

First, adjust your crown and your royal robe. (Seriously – it’s there)

Then, repeat with me:  Today I, (insert your name), stand in victory and take my place as the blood-bought daughter of the Almighty King.  I refuse to believe the lies that the enemy is telling me. In the name of Jesus, I rebuke Satan, and command him to flee from wreaking havoc on my mind and emotions. Today, I choose to remember who I am in Christ Jesus and from this moment on, I choose to walk in that freedom.

Sweet Mama - Don’t forget this truth!!

Now… Stand tall and victorious…and…

Keep on rocking it!!!

Heavenly Father,

I pray for the mama that is reading this today. Lord, you know what heavy burden she has on her heart and the struggles she is facing. Father, I pray right now that you will replace any negative thoughts running around in her mind with your truth.  The enemy wants to keep her trapped in bondage but we know that you never intended for us to stay in bondage.  In you we are free – thank you for that freedom and help us to take our place and fight from a place of victory. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Reflection:

What lies is the enemy whispering to you today?

Write each one down and speak this truth over each lie and then give your list to Jesus in prayer.

Then, walk in victory!

Today I, (insert your name), stand in victory and take my place as the blood-bought daughter of the Almighty King.  I refuse to believe the lie of ___________ that the enemy is telling me. In the name of Jesus, I rebuke Satan, and command him to flee from wreaking havoc on my mind and emotions. Today, I choose to remember who I am in Christ Jesus and from this moment on, I choose to walk in that freedom.
