My Prayer for You

From The Armor Series

“I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through His Spirit.” Ephesians 3:16

Hey friend,

Blessed Mother’s Day weekend!

Whatever this season looks like for you, I want you to know that I’m praying for you. Whether you have walked through great heartache and experienced loss or are celebrating great joy, holidays can be tricky and hard. Mother’s Day is hard for me too. While I am blessed with two amazing children that are still with me on this earth, I have a little girl up in Heaven that I miss deeply. I really do get the pangs of pain deeper than the Grand Canyon and I want you to know that I am praying specifically for you.

In the Armor Series, we have been chatting over the Sword of the Spirit and how God gave us His word to draw us closer to Him as well as stand firm against the enemy. Ephesians 3:16 says, “I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through His Spirit.” This is part of my prayer for you. See, when we are women who are determined to stay deep in the Word of God and allow Him to transform our minds, then He gives us power, strength, victory, and peace when the enemy comes at us with all he’s got.

But we must make it a priority to get alone with God, dig in deep to His word, and meditate on His truths. Because as we have discovered this week, God’s Word is our offensive weapon. The Bible is living and active and sharper than any sword we could use and has the power to send Satan fleeing! It’s imperative that, as mothers, we spend the time teaching our kids how to pick up their armor and put it on. They need it desperately so that they can stand firm when the enemy is knocking on their door.

When we don’t take the time to understand the armor God gave us and don’t make it a priority to put it on, then we walk around as defeated, anxious, and weak daughters of the King. As His daughters, We have been given every resource at our fingertips but failed to access them many times.

So, this is my Mother’s Day prayer for you, wherever you are and whatever season you are in:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for my dear friend. You know exactly what season she is in and what she is struggling with right at this very moment. Father, I ask that you help her navigate through this weekend and give her such an amazing, blessed weekend.  Lord, I pray that you will grant her – according to the riches of your great glory, that you will strengthen her with all power in her inner being through your spirit. We are so thankful for our many blessings but sometimes it’s hard to see the blessings through the weeds. Please open all our eyes to see our blessings clearly and to see you even clearer. God, I pray that Christ may dwell in her heart through faith. I pray that she will be rooted and firmly established in love. But most importantly, I pray that she may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length, width, height, and depth of your Love. I pray that she would deeply know how Christ’s love surpasses knowledge. I pray that she will be filled with all the fullness of you. I pray that she will feel your presence every day but especially this weekend. I pray also that she will feel and experience your amazing, relentless love and that no matter where she is or what she is walking through, she will be overcome with the depths of your mercy, grace, and love. You are so good, and I love you so much. I praise you for who you are. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
