What’s Your Reason?
“For this reason I kneel before the Father.” Ephesians 3:14 CSB
Hey Mama,
In the crazy busyness of your day, I want to encourage you to pause for just a few minutes. If you can, get to a place where you can just close your eyes for a few moments and take a deep breath. It may be behind a bathroom door, or in your car as it is parked in a parking space. Wherever it is, just take a moment to steady your soul.
In this craziness of life, there is so much that weighs heavy on our hearts and the only way we can get a steady soul is by pausing and spending some time with our Heavenly Father.
So, my question is, “What is your reason?” What has your heart burdened? What is keeping you up at night? What is causing you to feel an unexplainable anxiety? Why is your soul weary?
Your reason might be an issue with one of your children or it may not have anything to do with your children. It might be something that a friend is going through that has your mind and heart preoccupied. It might even be stemming from your marriage or could be a financial issue, or even a health crisis.
Whatever your “reason” is that has your heart burdened– just take a minute and spend some time in prayer.
My heart is drawn to our key verse, “For this reason I kneel before the Father.” This verse is short, but it packs a pretty big punch and reminds me of a very important truth.
No matter what “reason” I am facing in life that burdens my heart, the best way to combat it is through prayer. Prayer is our kryptonite against the enemy who wants nothing more than to cripple us in fear, worry, and anxiety.
Sweet friend, what is your reason? Let’s kneel before our Father and tell him all about it.
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for drawing me to this verse and for reminding me to come to you with my problems. You knew what my reason was and why I was feeling so burdened. You knew that my mind was a million miles away and you also knew that I was never created to carry my burdens alone. Thank you for drawing me to you and for reminding me that I am not alone. You are here with me and you are able to carry my burden and give me peace. I sure love you so much – thank you for always pursuing me and for drawing me back to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
