With Every Breath

I’m sitting here looking at a piece of paper I hung on the wall. A couple of days ago, I had written down some of the lyrics to a song I heard by Bethel Music and Jenn Johnson. I was having a really hard day that day. Worry filled my mind and overwhelmed my soul. I was up against a deadline and wasn’t sure how I even going to even meet it. I was tired. No, I was more than tired. I was exhausted.

But when that song came on the radio, I was reminded of God’s faithfulness. It was just the pick-me-up that my soul needed. When I really think about it, I don’t need to worry. My God is able to do so much more than I can fathom. (Ephesians 3:20). As I sit here and ponder this truth, memories flood my mind of all the many, many times He has been faithful and good. Oh so good!

“I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”

So, I want to encourage your heart friend. Whatever it is that has your stomach tied in a million, tiny, little knots; release it to your Heavenly Father. He is able! His mercy is never-ending and His goodness is abundant! Great is His faithfulness!

Deuteronomy 31:6   “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Psalm 33:4   “For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.”

1 Chronicles 16:34    “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Exodus 34:6   “The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.”
