When My Strength Fails Me

“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.”

Psalm 29:11 MEV

Hey mama!

Do you ever have moments when you feel like you just can’t take it anymore? The little bit of strength you thought you had has somehow disappeared leaving you in a collapsed state. You have given everyone in your life and every situation in your life all that you have and there just isn’t anything left to give. If you are in one of these moments right now, I want you to know that I am praying for you as I type these words.

Sweet friend, I understand how you feel. I, too, have had many moments where my strength failed me and I couldn’t possibly fathom how I was going to take another step, much less another breath. It’s during these moments when I heavily lean on God’s promises. Psalms 29:11 says, “The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.”

Do you see the promise? It doesn’t say the Lord “might” give strength - It says He WILL give strength. It’s not a “hope so” promise. Nope - you can take it to the bank - Our God is trustworthy and true!

Feasting on God’s promises is so needed when we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Our circumstances can certainly look bleak and hopeless but shifting our perspectives to focus on God’s promises gives us the glimmer of hope that we need and fuels our strength when all seems lost.

Dear Jesus,

I pray for the woman reading this right now. Only you know her situation and the state of her soul. You see how weary she is, you are so in sync with every tear that she has cried. You hear the whispers of her heart. I pray right now in the name of Jesus for your strength to shine in the moment of her weakness. I pray that you will wrap her securely in your peace – the peace that passes all understanding. Remind her that in you is an endless supply of strength – it is there for the taking. You are always the wind beneath her wings – you are holding her and you will never let her go. I pray that she will feel your presence and know that she is not alone. Whatever she needs today Lord, I pray that she will see you as her provider. Thank you for giving us strength when we need it. In Jesus Name, Amen.
