It Will Be Worth It All

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 CSB

Hey friend!

Have you ever felt like giving up? Ever wondered if you are even making a difference?

Life is hard. Period.

And sometimes, living out your faith is even harder. Especially when “sometimes” feels like ‘all the time” multiplied by feeling like you are standing all alone in the pain, the hurt, the questions, or the persecution.

Dear friend - I get it because I’ve been there too. But may I whisper some words of truth to your soul?

Someday (I think “someday” is sooner than we realize), it will be Worth. It. All.

 Every bit of it.

Every bit of the hard and unbearable that this life has thrown our way.

1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us so. It says,

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

God tells us in His word to stand strong in our faith because what we do for God will not be in vain. This is a promise we can cling to. And because of this promise, when difficult times come our way, we can live a life of faith that is steadfast and immovable.

Steadfast means firmly fixed in place, and immovable means incapable of being moved.

When I think about being steadfast and immovable, I think of a lighthouse. No matter how strong and unwavering the storm is, the lighthouse remains stronger.

As believers, we have Jesus - the Light of the World- living inside of us. Because of His power and strength, we are stronger than the storm. Sweet friend, we don’t have to live worn-out and defeated lives.

Keep pressing on. I promise – It’s worth it!

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for giving me your strength when I feel weak and want to give up. Thank you for the promise in your word that living for you will not be in vain. When I see your face, all of life’s heartaches will be worth it. Help me to live a life that is steadfast and immovable. Keep my gaze locked on you. Help me to shine your light to those you place in my path. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
