Amazing Grace for Every Weary Heart
“Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we many obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 MEV
Hey mama,
Do you ever feel like you are running on fumes?
I sure do.
With a plateful of obligations and responsibilities, there are days where I feel like I will barely make it. I want to be super-mom and super-wife and super-everything but on most days I feel like I’m a super big hot mess. And I’m not sure if it is just me or if anyone else notices this too but I can’t for the life of me figure out where the hours in the day go? It feels like each day is just slipping through my hands like sand through an hourglass.
When I feel like this – which is often, very often – I love to read this verse from Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we many obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
I love how God’s word gives me exactly what I need when I need it, don’t you?
Did you notice how God tells us to approach His throne of mercy and grace? With Confidence.
The definition of confidence is the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.
We don’t have to wonder if God is going to be there for us in our time of need. We can trust firmly that He will be with confidence because His word says He will. Friend, He is trustworthy and true.
I absolutely love this verse because it’s not just the promise that we can trust Him but it’s also the promise that we won’t go away empty-handed when we approach the throne. Can I get a hallelujah?!!!
God’s amazing grace is extended to us over and over and over – even when we are weary and running on fumes. Hebrews 4:15 tells us that Jesus understands our weaknesses. When He came to this earth, He was fully God but also fully human. He knows and understands and He wants to help. There is an abundance of amazing grace for every weary heart. It’s there for the taking and all we have to do is ask.
It’s that simple.
So dear sweet friend, what is your heart weary over? What do you need grace for? Just ask… He’s waiting.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your mercy and grace that never runs out or never runs dry. It’s always there no matter what. Thank you that I can have confidence that you will keep your word. You are trustworthy and true. Help me Lord because I feel like one big hot mess. I need you more than I need breath in my lungs. Help me to rely on you more and not try to do it all myself. In Jesus name, Amen.
