Cultivating a Thankful Heart
“We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.” 2 Thessalonians 1:3 ESV
Hey friend!
I am so very thankful for you. With a million different voices out there, I’m thankful that you stopped by to listen to mine. I want you to know that I never take it for granted. You are such a blessing, and I am honored to have the opportunity to do life with you - even if it is just a little spot in your day.
It’s important to pause a moment to reflect on our many blessings and all that we have to be thankful for. Especially the people that God has allowed our paths to cross with. 2 Thessalonians 1:3 says, “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.”
We need each other to encourage and lift us up. God made us with a desire for fellowship and community – it just gets lonely without it. Don’t you agree?
So, sweet friend…What are you thankful for today? And who are you thankful for?
I encourage you to meditate on all that God has blessed you with and the people He has put in your pathway. But don’t stop there. Go make someone smile today. Share the love of Jesus with them. You will never know how much you will be blessed until you become a blessing yourself!
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for all the blessings that you have graciously poured out to me. I don’t deserve it at all. I’m so grateful that you operate on your grace instead of what I deserve. Thank you for the many people you have placed in my life who have shined Jesus to me. Thank you so much for the woman who is reading this post today. I pray your many blessings over her life and her family. Help me to cultivate a thankful heart every minute of every day. Keep my eyes on you. I love you! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
